among_the_dead_1027.jpgAmong the Dead1561 viewsHaven't been around here in a long minute, so here's my latest Zelda piece, Among the Dead. I wanted to do a piece with Link in the graveyard with ghosts. This was the image I had in mind from the cemetery section of Zelda 1. This took me quite a while to draw at first, I couldn't quite get the pose for link right, so I kept trying different poses when I had free time. Once I finally had the pencils, it took me about a week / week and a half, on and off to Photoshop. The ghosts where somewhat difficult at first becuase the pencils for them were very unsubstantial, I pretty much had to paint them in with Photoshop. Anyway, hope you guys like it.Shady Gambino

The chariot is meant to be a triumphal car, so I figured that Link would be perfect, and what other horse could be pulling the car but Epona? The wheels are slightly noticeable -_-; I hope you can see the chariot form... It also shows the moon and sun symbols that are meant to be in this card, and also, it's meant to have two horses, but since Link has only one... well, you get it. It is, after all, SLIGHTLY Twilight Princess inspired... I'm not on model at all though *lol* I didn't use any reference and it shows- but hey, I just wanted the *feel* of... whatever it feels like. Lets see, what else.... Oh, it was done on an Oekaki -one of those PaintChat-Like programs, I used a tablet, and it took 138 minutes. I was learning to use the program, it's different than Oekaki's I had worked on in the past, so I had to fiddle around a bit more.Melora

Kado is a wolfo, brother of Link and Ari, and Mic is a Canis. The only differences between the two are Kado’s obvious extra muscle, and Mic’s sensitivity to nature and the planet.
I decided to give Kado a hoodie, cuz I thought he’d look good with one X3 He has the drawings of the Ayike and the Triforce on his back, and the Crying Eye and Crescent Moon on the front. Mic has pretty much the same design than before, plus some designs in her skirt.
And if you look carefully, you can see Mictlan is actually taller than Kado. I thought that’d make a cute detail ^^ That line running over her eye isn’t some clichéd scar, it’s just a tattoo; the Harincos have the same tradition than the Sheikas of tattooing their faces once their reach their puberty.
Btw: If you wonder where Mictlan’s hands are…. Well, I’m not gonna tell ya! Ha!

As for the origin of their names, well let me explain. Me and my friends were reading an article about Twilight Princess in a gaming magizine, and 1 of my friends said the Legend of Lelda by mistake. Then another 1 of my friends blurted out "I am ZINK son of Link and zelda!" then my friend who said Lelda said. "I am Lelda daughter of Link and Zelda!" and that's the story of Lelda...
