LoZ2--Tinsuit.jpg
LoZ2--Tinsuit.jpgZelda 2 AoL Tinsuit538 viewsYep! That one hopping enemy in Parapa Palace (in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link)... the one that looks like a dog enemy in armor... it has a name in North America. It's called Tinsuit. So whoever takes care of the bestiary on this site, please note. (In the Bestiary, we only know its Japanese name--WOSU).

Anyway, I used a sprite as a reference for the character. For the Parapa Palace BG, I used VGMaps.com as a reference.

LoZ2MauAndRaByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Dog and Dragon Heads537 viewsMau (the Dog Head) and Ra (the Dragon Head) in the Maze Palace in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I learned their names in the Zelda Wiki.

Anyway, the sprites and official art were the references here.

LoZ2TektiteByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Tektite536 viewsThe eyeball spider Tektite returns in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. And it's gotten more resilient (not to mention learned a few new tricks).

I had to use a sprite as a reference, so it doesn't look as good as it could've been.

LoZ2--Stalfos.jpg
LoZ2--Stalfos.jpgZelda 2 AoL Stalfos534 viewsThe Zelda 2: Adventure of Link version of Stalfos. Showing once again how I suck at drawing skeletons.

This one's in Parapa Palace (I used VGMaps as a reference here).

Both a sprite and the official art were reference for Stalfos.

LoZ2--Basilisk_Zora.jpg
LoZ2--Basilisk_Zora.jpgZelda 2 AoL Basilisk (Zora?)533 viewsThe basilisk monster in Zelda 2, Adventure of Link. But it could very well be Zora, hence the name choice.

Anyway, I used a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2DoomraddleByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2DoomraddleByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Doomraddle532 viewsDoomraddle, aka Guma, in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

I'm calling him Doomraddle so he won't be confused with the fifth boss, Gooma (whom Japanese fans named "Giant"/Jaianto), but anyway, here he is dancing about in Midoro Palace.

Is it just me, or does Doomraddle look like an effed up Taz? Anyway, I used a sprite as a reference.

LoZ2--Boon.jpgZelda 2 AoL Boon531 viewsThe big fly from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Make this big bug buzz off, if you can!

I used both a sprite and an official artwork as references.

LoZ2_Reflect.jpg
LoZ2_Reflect.jpgZelda 2 AoL Reflect Spell529 viewsLink using the Reflect Spell in the Maze Palace (where it is DEFINITELY required) in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Sprites, official art, and screen shots used as references. See "Zelda 2 AoL Shield Spell" for the reason why the name of the spell is not in the artwork itself.

LoZ2_Flute.jpg
LoZ2_Flute.jpgZelda 2 AoL Flute525 viewsThe magical flute in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, lying in the Palace on the Sea.

Link'll need this to pass the River Devil and find Three-Eye-Rock Palace.

I used a little license for the flute, since the manual scan flute looks almost more like an oboe. For the palace backdrop, I used VGMaps.com, plus some artistic license there too.

LoZ2SkettlarByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2SkettlarByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Skettlar523 viewsAruroda, also called by his fan-name "Skettlar" from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Beware of the fire-slinging tail... it's a "tale" best left untold! (Ha ha, I tell bad joke)

I used a sprite (and the official art from ZeldaWiki) as reference.

LoZ2--Bago-Bago.jpgZelda 2 AoL Bago-Bago520 viewsThe bone fish undead from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link.

Perhaps its last moment in life was Zora's lunch?

I used an official art as a reference.

LoZ2--Lowder.jpg
LoZ2--Lowder.jpgZelda 2 AoL Lowder512 viewsThe big bug in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Well, one of several big bugs, anyway.

I more or less used the sprite as a reference.

LoZ2_Graveyard.jpg
LoZ2_Graveyard.jpgZelda 2 AoL Graveyard510 viewsOooooh! The graveyard from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. I used a screenshot from a manual scan as a reference. Have the cross ready so the Moa don't get ya off guard!DBoyWheeler
LoZ2LeeverByDBoy.jpg
LoZ2LeeverByDBoy.jpgZelda 2 AoL Leever509 viewsThe version of Leever in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Only the blue versions appear. I guess the red ones learned their lesson and decided not to bother Link on this quest.

Anyway, I used the in-game sprite as the reference.

LoZ2--Heart_Container.jpg
LoZ2--Heart_Container.jpgZelda 2 AoL Heart Container494 viewsHeart Container in Zelda 2: Adventure of Link, and it's kinda like Heart Containers in all Zelda Games.

Get it and your health increases. You'll need all the life you can get to survive the challenges ahead!

I tried to use a sprite or official artwork as a reference, but I think I eff'ed it up. Oh, well.

LoZ2--Doll.jpg
LoZ2--Doll.jpgZelda 2 AoL 1Up Doll461 viewsThe cute 1Up Doll from Zelda 2: Adventure of Link. Isn't it cute?

Weird how Zelda 2 is one of the few Zelda games (if not the ONLY one) that has extra lives. How bizarre, how bizarre.

Anyway, I used an official artwork as a reference.
